Keith A. Hunt C.E.T., P.Q.S
Keith Hunt graduated from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario in 1983 with a diploma in Construction Engineering Technology Management. This is a 3 year co-op course which trains students in all aspects of construction, from equipment to materials, estimating, scheduling and design. He commenced work with Proctor and Redfern Consulting Engineers in their Toronto and London offices. His responsibilities included: survey, layout work, field inspection, drafting and design. In 1985 Mr. Hunt joined Carruthers and Wallace Structural Engineers of Toronto as an estimator. He was responsible for preparing detailed estimates for commercial, industrial, and institutional construction projects.
Assisting engineers in pricing design feasibility studies and developing computer estimating worksheets were some of his duties. The following year he joined Tridel Corporation in Toronto as a project Co-ordinator. His responsibilities at that position were for every aspect of management throughout the design, development, marketing, and construction stages for high rise residential condominium developments. While with Tridel, he was certified as an Engineering Technologist and was accepted as a member of the Canadian Institue of Quantity Surveryors.
In 1990, Keith Hunt joined the Consortium Group Limited in London, Ontario as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for cost consulting, construction project management, and property management. As a cost consultant his duties ranged from preparing preliminary estimates for architects from design sketches, to mortgage monitoring for financial institutions, to acting as an expert witness in legal disputes regarding construction costs.
Keith Hunt Construction Ltd. was incorporated in 1992 and has become a full-service project manager and general contractor. For any construction project, Keith Hunt Construction can provide design consultation, complete design and engineered drawings. Guiding clients through the process of building their custom dream home is a specialty of the team at Keith Hunt Construction Ltd.
Because cost review is essential at any stage of a construction project, the budget is constantly monitored as the project progresses. Keith Hunt Construction Ltd. has designed, constructed, and renovated many homes and commercial properties and tackled several unique heritage renovation and restoration projects.
